Robyn Rihanna Fenty is a BOSS. End of discussion. Not only has she been on the scene since 2013 as a pop star, but she also acts (Ocean’s 8, Guava Island) and inks major deals with the largest fashion houses in the world including Manolo Blahnik and Dior. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that she’s one of the most iconic fashion girls. May we revert your attention to her 2018 Met Gala look? #ICONIC.
While diehard fans were constantly inquiring about a new album, I knew Miss Fenty had something else brewing. Why in the world would someone spend a majority of their time in the studio, recording songs, and going on tour (a lot of time and energy) instead of putting their resources into their businesses? She is her greatest asset. She has to protect it. I don’t know the exact revenue of her businesses, but I can guarantee that she makes more money with her businesses than music.
Rihanna is resilient AF and ALWAYS rises like a phoenix from the ashes. She nearly went bankrupt in 2009. Her liquid cash drastically dropped from 11 million at the beginning of 2009 to 2 million by the end of 2009 due the stealthiness of her accountant and her negligence (Come on. We're taking responsibility in 2019. We have to be on top of all of our affairs). Today her net worth is a very lucrative $260 million. God is so good.
Rihanna is by far one of the most marketable celebrities. Her diverse fans have a strong buying power. Her fans are 3.7 times more likely to purchase from her than the fans of other celebrities. Fenty Beauty generated $100 million in it’s first 40 days ($500 million in its first year). I have yet to see numbers for her lingerie line, but I’m sure it’s in the 8 figures.
Now she’s dropping Fenty, her eponymous luxury fashion line under LVMH (Louis Vuitton, Moet, Hennessy). I’m excited to say the least. She will be the FIRST black woman in charge of a major luxury fashion house in Paris. It’s amazing that she’s trailblazing this, but I definitely have to bow down to the people before her: Jay Z , Diddy , and Kimora Lee Simmons who started RocaWear, Sean John, and Baby Phat respectively.
Let’s take a deeper look into her luxury line “Fenty” that’s dropping May 29th at Fenty.com.
Collections will be dropped monthly. She’s all about inclusivity, sizes will go up to a 46 (French ) which is a US 14. Prices will range from $450 for the hottest shades to $1100 for her structured blazers. Check out some of the looks and prices below.
I'm definitely copping a pair of sunglasses. Once I get my coins up, I'll purchase the shoes and a suit. Do you plan on purchasing anything from her launch?
